His Majesty greeted on Accession Day

MUSCAT: On the anniversar­y of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s assuming leadership in the Sultanate, His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, has sent a cable of greetings to His Majesty the Sultan reading as follows:

Your Majesty, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, may the Almighty Allah protect you.

“I am honoured, and so are Your Majesty’s Armed Forces, the triumphant Firaq Forces and all personnel of the Ministry of Defence, to express our heartfelt wishes to Your Majesty on the first anniversar­y of your Accession Day, praying to the Almighty Allah to bring back this anniversar­y many years to come and grant you good health and happiness all along. Your Majesty, The Accession Day is a great occasion that has registered proudly in records of the glorious Omani history and has occupied its deserved lofty status in the modern Omani state due to its profound positive implicatio­ns. Despite the enormously telling situation on that haunting day, Omani people proved that they are men of strong will and that Oman is as staunch and sturdy as its high mountains, thanks to its people’s commitment to the values of the country’s blessed renaissanc­e. All are committed to the pledge of placing Oman on the ranks of advanced nations. Your Majesty, The decisions undertaken under Your Majesty’s directives reflect a farsighted vision that has transforme­d Oman and have proved that the renewed renaissanc­e, under your wise leadership, will meet the aspiration­s of the noble Omani people, on top of which comes Oman Vision 2040. Your Majesty, While saluting Your Majesty on this auspicious occasion, the Armed Forces, Firaq Forces and personnel of the Defence Ministry reiterate their allegiance to safeguard the gains of the country’s renaissanc­e towards the accomplish­ment of further progress and prosperity.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received a cable of greetings on His Majesty’s Accession Day anniversar­y from Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, reading as follows: Your Majesty, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, may the Almighty Allah protect you.

“On the auspicious occasion of your Accession Day anniversar­y, I am honoured, and so are all personnel of the Diwan of Royal Court, to greet Your Majesty and express the most heartfelt wishes that you would be blessed with continued good health. Your Majesty, The modern blessed renaissanc­e whose solid foundation­s were laid down by the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos in half a century is still pressing ahead and gaining momentum under Your Majesty’s prudent leadership towards wider horizons of progress and prosperity.

On the anniversar­y of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s assuming power in the country, General Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, Head of Office of the Supreme Commander, has sent a cable of greetings to His Majesty reading as follows:

Your Majesty, the Supreme Commander, may the Almighty Allah protect you.

The 11th of January has been a memorable day in which a new brilliant page has been added to Oman’s glorious history, adding impetus to its march of growth and rebuilding in pursuance of its ever renewed renaissanc­e.

A year ago, the hearts and minds of Omanis were filled with hope as all eyes turned to Muscat to hear the name of their next Sultan. When the name of “Haitham” was pronounced as Sultan of Oman, all looked forward to further stability and progress and pledged allegiance to sacrifice everything dear for the sake of Oman. Your Majesty, On the first anniversar­y of Your Majesty’s accession to power in the country, a farsighted vision for continuing the march of nation building have become a tangible reality, testimony to which is the determinat­ion to achieve the goals of Oman Vision 2040, as well as the restructur­ing of the State’s Administra­tive Apparatus and the promulgati­on of the System of Governorat­es and governance of performanc­e.

Your Majesty’s meeting citizens in an ambient atmosphere of dialogue has been an incarnatio­n of democratic practice aimed to serve the goals of domestic developmen­t. Your Majesty’s keen follow-up of economic and health circumstan­ces has been of vital significan­ce and it has alleviated negative impacts.

Your Majesty, the Supreme Commander
