Your Majesty, peace be upon you and May the Almighty Allah protect you.

Upon the advent of Eid al Adha and, as Muslims all over the globe engage in celebrations — their hearts filled with delight, their eyes

set on the Holy Shrine (of Kaaba) and their minds long for the sacred lands — I am honoured, and so are Your Majesty’s Armed Forces and all the personnel of the Ministry of Defence, to express the most heartfelt greetings to Your Majesty, praying to the Almighty Allah to grant Your Majesty continued good health, happiness and a long life and to endow Oman and its loyal people with everlasting security, stability prosperity.

Your Majesty, In these blessed days in which the Almighty Allah honoured His Muslim worshippers with the Haj, the voices of the faithful rise in veneration to the Almighty in a constant spectacle symbolising unity and equality among all, irrespective of creed or breed; their souls are freed from disagreement and dispute; they sense truthfulness, sincerity and a deep sense of sacrifice; and they pray to the Almighty Allah to accept their prayers, purge them from the Fire to the Bliss of Paradise.

Your Majesty, From the great lessons of this adorable religious occasion, Your Majesty’s Armed

Forces perceive the meanings of self-denial and sacrifice for the sake of this dear homeland; they vow to protect its territories and safeguard the gains of the blessed renaissance; they honour the pledge they made to defend their country and its great accomplishments — the firm resolve, from which they never deviate, being the slogan “Faith in Allah, Loyalty to the Sultan, Defence of the Homeland”.

May the Almighty Allah protect Your Majesty and support you with good health and a long life. Have a Happy Eid, Your Majesty.
