Alizz Islamic Bank wins best rated mobile banking applicatio­n

MUSCAT: Alizz Islamic Bank’s mobile banking applicatio­n won the prestigiou­s ‘Best Rated Mobile Banking App’ at the recently concluded Oman Banking & Finance Awards. This award comes as an acknowledg­ement of the bank’s growing excellence in enhancing the customer experience via timely and convenient technologi­cal enhancemen­ts.

The app is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play store and Huawei Gallery store, and evaluated on the basis of user experience and the ease of completing banking transactio­ns.

For Alizz Islamic Bank, the recognitio­n of ‘Best Rated Mobile Banking App’ stems from the growing popularity of its mobile app. The award committee tabulated the number of ratings by users of all mobile banking applicatio­ns in Oman.

The event was held under the patronage of Tahir bin Salim al Amri, Executive President of Central Bank of Oman, at the Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz Carlton Hotel, the annual award ceremony set a new tempo for the banking sector. The proceeding­s were witnessed by CEOS of major financial and banking institutio­ns in the country and profession­als from the industry, alongside digital teams of various banks.

The algorithm of the mobile app ensured its efficacy and establishe­d it as an easy, simple and convenient tool for its growing users.

Asaad bin Hilal al Kharusi, Head of Strategy and Transforma­tion of Alizz Islamic Bank, said, “The shift from traditiona­l avenues of banking to smart mobile devices has enhanced the customer experience. Today, our customers can conduct banking transactio­ns with ease from the comfort of their homes, offices or even public places — at any time of the day or night. Constant updates to the app have also contribute­d in upholding the bank’s image as a pioneer in adopting innovative technologi­es. It has reestablis­hed customer experience as a core business strategy.”

Describing the ‘Best Rated Mobile Banking App’ award as a true reflection of the technologi­cal changes going on in the banking and financial sector, Al Kharusi added: “Alizz Islamic Bank’s electronic channels, such as the mobile app, ATMS and the Interactiv­e Teller Machines, are all designed to provide a different and distinctiv­e experience for customers. We constantly strive to create and implement digital banking services that enhance the experience of our customers by facilitati­ng all banking transactio­ns using digital technology.”

Since starting its operations in 2013, Alizz Islamic Bank has bridged the gap between customers and the bank by using latest technologi­cal solutions.
