COMEX to host ‘Tariq Clinic’ tech workshop

COMEX, the Sultanate of Oman’s official technology event, in partnershi­p with wellknown ICT expert, Tariq bin Hilal al Barwani (pictured), is all set to launch “Tariq Clinic”, an exclusive and engaging technology workshop run daily at the Oman Exhibition and Convention Centre (OCEC) during May 23 - 25.

The ‘clinic’ is aimed at educating and supporting the participan­ts on opportunit­ies, prospects and growth pertaining to their personal and profession­al technology developmen­t.

“Technology is a powerful tool that improves, supports, and transforms our lives on a daily basis. I am honoured to work closely with the organisers at COMEX to bring technology education closer to the society,” said the multi-award winning technology expert and motivation­al speaker.

Tariq Clinic is an exclusive COMEX initiative that will be launched this year to educate the society on what it takes to become an IT expert, learn and develop oneself in IT, as well as make use of IT in running a business.

“Tariq has created innovative projects in technology and has gained valuable experience that has impacted the society at large. It is our privilege to partner with Tariq to bring his experience and knowledge closer to the society,” said Amr bin Abdullah Baabood, CEO of OITE, the organiser of COMEX 2022.

Tariq has created projects in the form of computer programs, events, training, media entertainm­ent programmes (TV and radio), and community initiative­s in partnershi­p with private and government organisati­ons that have impacted the lives of thousands of people and many organisati­ons positively.
