Royal Hospital activates scientific research and innovation
The Royal Hospital on Thursday organised its annual scientific research event, which aims to highlight, support and promote scientific research in the medical field, under the auspices of Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health.
Dr Sami bin Sulaiman al Farsi, Director-general, Royal Hospital, said the hospital is making tangible efforts to activate scientific research and innovation for individuals in the institution.
He pointed out that organising the event on an annual basis comes with the aim of encouraging scientific research and making it one of the main goals in the hospital’s march.
He stated that the participating scientific research deals with the latest developments in the medical field, and a number of specialists and those concerned in the medical field take part in it. He also stressed that the hospital pay great attention to scientific research with the importance of keeping abreast of the latest developments in health field.
Dr Muntazer al Moussawi said that 12 visual presentations were presented in addition to 18 scientific papers dealing with the latest developments in the field of science and knowledge, expressing his hope that the event will be an encouragement for all to move forward and improve the quality of research.
Dr Hasina al Harthiyah reviewed the most important projects carried out by the Studies and Research Department at the Royal Hospital, including the Scientific Café project and the initiative to support decisionmakers with evidence in addition to a group of scientific workshops related to capacity-building in the field of scientific research and innovation.
