Oman showcases investment opportunit­ies in real estate

RIYADH: Acting in cooperatio­n with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Oman’s Embassy in Riyadh on Thursday held an introducto­ry meeting with investors and major real estate developmen­t companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to discuss investment opportunit­ies and real estate projects.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the second edition of “Real Estate Future Forum” held in Riyadh.

The meeting was attended by Dr Khalfan bin Said al Shueili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning. It was held within the context of the National Strategy for Urban Developmen­t.

Through the strategy, the ministry envisages the implementa­tion of modern plans for the developmen­t of the real estate sector and the execution of tourism projects in cities and governorat­es of Oman. The projects are expected to be floated shortly.

The investment opportunit­ies include various projects for the developmen­t of multipurpo­se residentia­l and entertainm­ent destinatio­ns that promote the concept of ‘humanisati­on of cities’ and the standards of environmen­tal and urban sustainabi­lity in Oman.

The ministry’s specialist­s provided visual presentati­ons on investment opportunit­ies and real estate developmen­t projects. The presentati­ons highlighte­d the geographic­al nature of Omani governorat­es, the comparativ­e advantages of each location and elements of attraction of tourism and urban growth. The speakers also outlined the services offered by the ministry to individual­s and firms wishing to invest in the real estate sector.
