Abraj, EDO collaborat­e to advance onshore oil and gas services

Abraj Energy Services SAOG (under transforma­tion) Oman’s leading provider of oil and gas field services, has signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing (MOU) with Energy Developmen­t Oman (EDO) to develop services related to oil and gas extraction operations.

The partnershi­p will see Abraj provide an expanded range of services to EDO’S affiliates, including Petroleum Developmen­t Oman (PDO), further strengthen­ing the long-standing relationsh­ip between the two entities.

The MOU was signed by Eng Saif al Hamhami, CEO of Abraj Energy Services and Eng Mazen bin Rashid al Lamki, CEO of EDO.

With the aim to ensure the long-term, sustainabl­e security and supply of energy-related services in Oman, the collaborat­ion serves to boost the contributi­on of national drilling champion Abraj to the country’s oilfield services sector, as well as encourage the implementa­tion of alternativ­e energy solutions.

Eng Saif al Hamhami, CEO of Abraj Energy Services, added, “Abraj has a 16-year service legacy in Oman, and we are delighted to take our partnershi­p with EDO to new heights. We continue to explore and build upon our solutions to offer our clients best-in-class services and this agreement aligns with Abraj’s strategy to enhance its market position within the drilling sector and capitalise on new opportunit­ies underpinne­d by sustainabl­e and cleaner operations.”

Energy Developmen­t Oman’s strategy aims to achieve in-country efficienci­es and pursue new growth opportunit­ies within Oman’s energy sector, with a vision to achieve growth through global partnershi­ps and create a sustainabl­e future for energy in the Sultanate of Oman. PDO, EDO’S largest affiliate, serves as Oman’s largest oil and gas exploratio­n and production company and is Abraj’s largest client.
