The Ikram package launched by Meethaq Islamic Banking from Bank Muscat has been hailed by customers for its innovative facilities and services. In line with its strategy to improve financial inclusion in Oman, Meethaq’s Ikram package offers a specialised package of Shariahcompliant financing products with attractive profit rates catering to Omani pensioners.

The Ikram package was launched earlier in the beginning of 2023 after a detailed study of the needs of retirees from government and private institutions.

On this occasion, Sami Bait Rashid, Assistant General Manager, Retail Banking – Meethaq, said: “Meethaq developed the Ikram pensioner package to offer a full suite of Islamic financial services and facilities that meet our customers’ needs and aspirations.

We are hence delighted to see the excellent response to this newly-launched package which is playing a key role in bringing about greater financial inclusion for retirees.

In this context, I would like to mention that Meethaq will continue to introduce new financial products and services targeting different sections of society in line with the changing needs of our customers to whom I extend thanks for their continuous trust in Meethaq’s products and services”.

Both current and new customers can benefit from the Ikram package which offers a wide range of services, competitive profit rates, exclusive financing offers, credit card offers and discounts at selected merchant partner outlets. Under Ikram, pensioners can apply for different types of financing solutions and credit cards till the age of 70.

Housing finance will be provided up to a maximum of 25 years or till the customer is 70 years old.
