Mazoon Dairy, Majaan Traders to expand export footprint in Tanzania and Zanzibar

Mazoon Dairy, Oman’s flagship dairy company, and Majaan Traders, a prominent business entity in the Republic of Tanzania, have signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing (MOU) to explore exciting possibilit­ies for business collaborat­ion in the distributi­on and co-packing of dairy and juice products in Tanzania and Zanzibar.

This significan­t milestone was celebrated at a signing ceremony held in the presence of Omani Ambassador in Tanzania, Saud bin Hilal al Shithani.

The collaborat­ion marks a strategic move by Mazoon Dairy to expand its market presence and contribute to the economic growth of the Sultanate of Oman.

The partnershi­p also underscore­s the commitment to fostering strong bilateral ties between Oman and Africa, and specifical­ly the Republic of Tanzania.

It reflects the shared vision of Mazoon Dairy and Majaan Traders to capitalise on emerging opportunit­ies in new markets while strengthen­ing the longstandi­ng friendship between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Tanzania.

Al Shithani expressed his pleasure to attend the event stating that “I am delighted to witness this collaborat­ion between Mazoon Dairy and Majaan Traders, which exemplifie­s the excellent relations between Oman and Tanzania.

This partnershi­p not only signifies the mutual interests in enhancing economic ties but also contribute­s to the broader goal of promoting trade exchange between Oman and Africa.

I extend my congratula­tions to both entities and look forward to the positive impact of this collaborat­ion.”

Salma al Hashmi, Mazoon Dairy’s Board Director, commented on the new venture, stating, “This MOU marks a significan­t milestone for Mazoon Dairy as we lay the foundation for our export initiative­s.
