Khimji Ramdas organises annual blood donation drive

MUSCAT: Dedicated to upholding corporate social responsibility, KR Group concluded its 41st annual blood donation drive, a long-standing tradition held during the holy month of Ramadhan. The event was organised under the supervision of the Blood Donation Services Department, Ministry of Health (MOH).

KR Group’s employees’ family and friends actively participated, embodying the organisation’s commitment to service and community welfare for over four decades. A notable number of KR employees graciously stepped forward to donate blood, contributing to the noble cause of saving lives. The response from donors was positive, reflecting the spirit of generosity and compassion.

The event highlighted the critical importance of sustaining blood supplies, especially during Ramadhan, when demand often exceeds availability. Adhering strictly to blood bank guidelines, thorough immunisation histories, travel records, and medical screenings were meticulously recorded prior to blood donation, ensuring the safety and well-being of both donors and recipients. Anil Khimji, Director of KR Group, expressed his profound gratitude to all donors who supported this noble cause. “The spirit of caring and sharing during Ramadhan underscores our commitment to raising public awareness and supporting local communities. We extend heartfelt appreciation to Dr Zainab al Araimi and the entire team at the Blood Bank Services Department for their selfless efforts,” stated Anil Khimji.
