Al Khabourah’s Ramadhan event fosters community spirit
To mark the advent of Ramadhan, Al Khabourah Municipality organised a community event that featured competitions, stalls of productive families and SMES.
The food carts and other pavilions aimed at bringing people together, empowering local entrepreneurs and supporting small businesses.
Ahmed al Maimani, Director of the Municipality Department in Al Khabourah, explained that Al Khabourah fort premises were chosen as the venue in coordination with relevant authorities. The event area was spread over 4,800 square metres, including an interlocked pathway 5 metres wide and 95 metres long. Additionally, 16 side tables were allocated for display, along with provision for electrical and plumbing connections. Light poles were installed, and a 1,150-square metre area was designated for display and parking.
Moreover, the event emphasised the importance of supporting home projects and initiatives. Through workshops and displays, attendees had the opportunity to learn about and support various projects, contributing to the development and sustainability of local initiatives. The atmosphere of the event was further enhanced by the Ramadhan spirit, with Iftar and Suhoor meals provided in a traditional setting inside Al Khabourah Fort. This added a sense of togetherness and solidarity, reflecting the essence of Ramadhan as a time of sharing and giving.
The various competitions showcased the talents and creativity of the youth. These cultural competitions not only promoted knowledge, but also highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the region.
