Need to control tailgaters also

Location: This refers to article Safety campaigners in Oman call for hike in

(July 25). Normally, I maintain a speed limit of 120130km/h when travelling from Muscat to Sohar. It is very irritating when a car being driven very fast comes right behind and start flashing headlights. At the same time often on the right lane trailers are travelling at speeds off 80-100 km/h. Thus it is not possible to change the track, however, the person behind my car will start tailgating. Obviously by getting the irritation. In addition to the fine, there should be some arrangement like CCTV to control tailgaters also.

Year-round vigilance needed

I refer the story More Than 300 beggars arrested in Oman raids ( July 26th). I appreciate this move, which is certainly going to hit hard on these beggars .Hope this kind of vigilance and raid continues round the year. The arrested expatriate beggars must be sent back to their native countries without any further discussion or concern over the issue but the arrested Omanis who were found begging should be a matter of serious concern for the authorities.
