Bank Muscat supports e-commerce conference

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, as part of its ‘Let’s Do More’ vision and commitment to partnershi­p and innovation, extended support to the 4th internatio­nal conference on ecommerce, which started yesterday in Salalah under the auspices of Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar.

The 2-day conference highlighti­ng the importance of e-payment and its role in enhancing developmen­t and promoting e-commerce in the Sultanate and the Arab world was attended by dignitarie­s, experts, academics and specialist­s in the field of e-commerce, says a press release.

Hosted by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the governorat­e of Dhofar, in collaborat­ion with the Middle East Centre for Social Consultanc­ies and Studies, the conference reviewed the Arab experience and explored new avenues in improving e-commerce in the region.

Bank Muscat utilised the opportunit­y to highlight its state-ofthe-art electronic banking service. Marked by speed, convenienc­e and security, the electronic banking channels, notably mobile banking, online banking and ATM/CDM network enable financial transactio­ns anytime from anywhere.
