16 new filling stations opened in last 7 months
MUSCAT: Sixteen petrol filling stations have been opened since the beginning of January until the end of July across various governorates of the Sultanate, said Ministry of Commerce and Industry, represented by the Petroleum Products Licences Department.
These stations include Oman Oil, Shell and Al Maha, in addition to the issuance of 14 temporary licences to open new stations.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry confirmed that it continues to open more fuel stations in different governorates of the Sultanate to provide better services to tourists and to create good impression among the visitors of the Sultanate.
The ministry is seeking to complete the legal procedures for the issuance of integrated regulation for the establishment of filling stations. Further, the ministry seeks in the next stage to provide those services electronically via “Invest Easy” portal for the convenience to investors.
