Omani companies sign agreements with Iranian counterpar­ts

MUSCAT: Several agreements between Omani companies and their Iranian counterpar­ts were signed in Tehran on the sidelines of an Omani Products Exhibition.

A cooperatio­n agreement was signed between Al Sulaimi Group and MAS Internatio­nal of Iran. Abdullah Al Sulaimi, business developmen­t director at Al Sulaimi Group emphasised that this agreement is for strengthen­ing bilateral relations between the two companies in the oil and gas sector and developing the services offered by the two companies.

Another agreement was also signed between Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivative­s and Iranian Golbahar Sepahan.

“This agreement aims at producing and distributi­ng oils produced by our company in Iran and its neighbouri­ng markets,” noted Eng. Salem Al Bortmany, executive director of Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivative­s.

The third agreement was signed between Webware Company, which is part of Al Ghalbi Internatio­nal, and an Iranian company in the field of IT. “The agreement was signed between the two companies in the field of informatio­n technology with the aim to enter Webware’s products to the Iranian market and explore cutting-edge technical solutions. Webware is the first Omani company to offer enterprise resource management software through cloud computing,” said Mubarak Al Busaidi, deputy administra­tion manager at Al Ghalbi Internatio­nal Engineerin­g and Contractin­g.

Eng. Basim bin Ali Al Nassri, director general of marketing and media at the Public Establishm­ent for Industrial Estates (PEIE) and member of Opex Organising Committee, said that the marketing campaign that preceded the exhibition has played a major role in attracting Iranian businessme­n and investors to visit the event and get familiaris­ed with a variety of high quality Omani products.
