Hitachi Power Tools win Muscat 7 football tournament

MUSCAT: Hitachi Power Tools defeated Black & White Kerala by a solitary goal to win the top honours in the Muscat 7 football tournament organised by Samba Fut- sal & Football School at Al Amal Club in Ghala recently.

In an exciting final match, Hitachi Power Tools overcame Black & White Kerala to clinch the title.

Nihal Rahman scored the match-winning goal for the eventual champions.

Starcare defeated FC Kerala by a similar 1-0 margin for the third place with Abdul Basit scoring the lone goal. The tournament was sponsored by Pocari Sweat and the medical support was provided by Starcare Hospital.

Abdullah Al Ghafri, CEO of Axis Of The Desert, presided over the presentation ceremony and handed over the trophies.

Nihal Rahman of Hitachi Power Tools won the player of the tournament award.

His teammate Noushad Ayipottammal lifted the best goalkeeper of the tournament award.
