Kalabhavan’s winter camp begins from December 11
MUSCAT: Kalabhavan School of Music and Arts, the Muscat Franchisee of Kochin Kalabhavan, will be conducting a winter camp during the forthcoming winter vacation of the Indian schools in Oman.
The camp runs through Sunday to Thursday and will begin from December 11 to December 29. The timing will be from 10 to 1pm, says a press release.
During the winter camp, introductory lessons in keyboard, drawing, classical dance, cinematic dance, guitar and percussion instruments will be offered. The institution will also arrange transportation for those who require.
Kalabhavan has presently three branches in Oman and the camp will be held in all its three branches at Al Hail, Al Ghubra and Ruwi. Admission will be given on first come first basis but the minimum age should be 5 years.
It is needless to mention that attending the camp will be a refreshing experience for children who would otherwise spend at home sitting and watching television and playing with electronic gadgets. It shall introduce to children about different courses that it teaches at the institute. This would help it to spot the right talent in children and can guide the parents as to what their children are interested. This is an added advantage to its camp.
Besides, children reap significant benefits, both psychological and physical, by attending camps. Kids will also have the opportunity to develop their social interaction skills and build friendship with the other children at the camp. This would eventually boost their self-esteem and self-confidence.
