Fischer Middle East organises media meet, calendar launch

DUBAI: Fischer Middle East had organised its very first media meet and calendar launch recently at Fischer FZE, Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE involving all the top media houses in the UAE at its recently establishe­d office and warehouse located in Jebel Ali Freezone.

The event started with Fischer 2017 calendar launch which was based on the ‘back to school campaign’ – a CSR initiative to help and motivate kids by providing them a platform where they can express themselves and pour out their talent and creativity in the form of art. It was a unique drawing contest concept in which children from regular school joined together with children from special needs in the making of fischer 2017 calendar, says a press release.

Fischer had invited children and faculty from Al Noor Training Centre for Children With Special Needs, DPS Academy, Al Khaleej National School and Senses Residentia­l Care Home. The event was headed by Alexander Bässler, regional director for Asia and the Middle East - Fischer, Jayanta Mukherjee, managing director for the Middle East operations - Fischer and Kusum Rawat, Regional Marketing Manager – Fischer Middle East.

After the calendar launch, children were awarded for being shortliste­d as the top 13 winners out of 400+ entries for Fischer’s ‘Back to School – Junior Engineerin­g Contest’ and Fischer’s 2017 calendar. Following the awards, the event proceeded with a short introducti­on of Fischer and an of- fice tour for the media showcasing the entire setup from its various training centres – The Fischer AKADEMIE, an overview of the various stringent policies followed by Fischer Middle East ensuring quality of service and sustained growth, the various recreation­al and team building aspects of Fis- cher and more.

The event then concluded with interviews from Alexander and Jayanta with the various media houses. This was a great opportunit­y to meet with Fischer’s top management to understand its various long-term plans and vision for the Middle East.
