IS Muladha conducts Cubs and Bulbuls camp

MUSCAT: Indian School Muladha organised a one day Cubs and Bulbuls camp recently on the school premises.

The formal inaugural ceremony was held at the school Kids World and Ankur Goel, academic chairperso­n and IT in charge, school management committee, attended the occasion by being the chief guest of the inaugural function. The camp was formally inaugurate­d by Goel by lighting the lamp. Dr Lekha O.C., CC&EC coordinato­r, T. Harish, academic supervisor, teachers and students attended the function, says a press release.

The chief guest, in his speech insisted the importance of organising Cubs and Bulbuls activities in the school to foster values like honesty, patience, creativity, team spirit and self-discipline among the students. He emphasised the advantages of learning by doing and how it helps the students to create enthusiasm and interest in the minds of stu- dents to learn for a life time.

Dr Lekha pointed out the need to develop self-learning skills among the students by taking an active part in the programmes like Cubs and Bulbuls and how these innovative programmes help the students to become good citizens by eradicatin­g all the bad habits from their mind and the soul.

After the inaugural function the students were taken out for more fun-filled activities, competitio­ns and games. Some of the activities were organised in group and it inculcated values like team spirit, patience and self- discipline among the students. In the camp, they were trained to do craft works and collage works and the best products were exhibited in the Kids World.

The students participat­ed in competitio­ns like best out of waste, drawing, paper folding and glass painting with overwhelmi­ng enthusiasm.
