NBO holds Al Kanz year end prize draw at ROHM

-

MUSCAT: Al Kanz, the marketleading product from National Bank of Oman (NBO) designed to promote a culture of savings in the Sultanate, has given away a total of OMR1.5 million in a special end of year prize draw. The prize money is the largest amount to ever be won in the scheme’s history.

The final draw of 2016 took place at the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) and was attended by chief guest, His Highness Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, assistant secretary-general for the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs. A total of 15 customers from across all regions in the Sultanate won OMR100,000 each, says a press release.

The Al Kanz draw is an initiative that encourages people to save money by giving them the opportunity to win cash prizes without risking their capital. The scheme was updated in 2016 to ensure that customers from each region of the Sultanate are guaranteed to win and also includes rewards dedicated solely to the bank’s Youth Banking account holders.

John Chang, general manager and chief retail banking officer at NBO, said: “To mark the end of a successful year for NBO, we wanted to deliver the biggest prize draw in the history of Al Kanz. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and it is with great pleasure that we are able to reward them for their loyalty. As we head into 2017, we will aim to build on our success, and continue offering incredible incentives for people to grow their savings.”

Earlier in the evening, Spanish tenor, conductor and administrator, Plácido Domingo, performed alongside the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra in a sparkling evening of beautiful symphonic work.

NBO’s exclusive Sadara Wealth Management customers were invited to the event to thank them for their relationship and loyalty with the bank. Sadara is an exclusive banking service, tailor-made to provide the bank’s most privileged customers with personalized attention, preferential services as well as the widest range of exclusive banking products. Sadara customers can avail an array of benefits including express transaction teller services, reserved parking spaces, a dedicated Relationship Manager, private and luxurious lounges to discuss banking needs swiftly and discreetly, and a host of other privileges.

Aziz AL Jahdhami, head of Al Sadara Wealth Management Account and Private Banking, said: “We are delighted to celebrate this unique Al Kanz draw with our valued Sadara customers, and thank and reward them for their continued support over the last 12 months. Special occasions like this provide us with a platform for success, and I am confident that in 2017 we will reach even more significant milestones together.”

The Al Kanz account is a flagship NBO product that incentivises customers to grow their savings with cash prize draws. Customers who maintain a minimum monthly average balance of OMR100 or above are eligible to participate in the draw. Opening an account is easy and the earlier customers make a deposit and the longer they retain it, the higher their chances of winning.
