ACCA recognises Ooredoo
MUSCAT: Ooredoo was recently certified as an ‘Approved Employer’ by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a global body for professional accountants.
The ACCA Approved Employer certificate is an international benchmark that recognises Ooredoo’s high standards of in-house training, professional development programmes, and accountancy resources. The certification was presented to the finance team by Maqbool Al Lawati, chair of the ACCA members Advisory Committee in Oman, says a press release.
Abdul Razzaq Al Balushi, chief financial officer said, “It is a privilege to be awarded such a prestigious certificate, which reflects the high standard of our accountancy services and team members. This key milestone is a major step that will take the development of our financial department to even greater heights, positioning our professional teams to continue growing and exceeding the expectations of our valued customers.”
The certificate is awarded to companies that offer outstanding continuing professional development opportunities to their finance professionals and demonstrate su- perior professional values, ethics and governance in the workplace. Companies are required to undergo special assessment against a number of best practices.
