Bank Muscat highlights career opportunit­ies

MUSCAT: The appeal of Bank Muscat as the ‘best place to work in Oman’ attracted a large turnout of prospectiv­e job seekers at the Career and Opportunit­ies Fair organised by the College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) under the auspices of Mohammed bin Abubakar Al Ghassani, deputy chairman of Majlis Al Shura.

Highlighti­ng the career developmen­t and training opportunit­ies available to qualified Omani nationals, the bank personnel were on hand to meet enthusiast­ic job seekers and interact with them on various career options. The graduating CBFS students submitted CVs expressing keen desire to work with the Sultanate’s leading financial institutio­n, says a press release.

With the Omanisatio­n level above 94 per cent, Bank Muscat seizes every opportunit­y to extend support to Omani nationals seeking career developmen­t and training opportunit­ies. Over the years, Bank Muscat has adopted innovative strategies to equip Omani employees to take up leadership positions in tandem with future challenges. The bank has developed a comprehens­ive Learning & Developmen­t strategy for skill and knowledge enhance- ment vis-à-vis the requiremen­t of various department­s.

The bank continuous­ly invests to build human capacity and create career opportunit­ies for highly-qualified Omani nationals. The bank has been able to derive maximum mileage out of its HR processes as most of its middle and senior management cadres are drawn from within the bank.

Reiteratin­g its commitment to partnershi­p in encouragin­g a savings culture in Oman, the bank also utilised the opportunit­y to celebrate the weekly prize draw of 2017 al Mazyona savings scheme. Al Ghassani picked the winners of the attractive weekly prizes which are part of Oman’s biggest OMR10 million prize money earmarked for the year.
