“We started really small, primarily focussing on general dentistry,” said George, recalling his wonderful journey, where he achieved many milestones and provided premium dental care to people in Oman.

The dental centre was officially opened in 2003, at a time when oral hygiene and dental care was still in its infancy when it came to people’s awareness, as well as the facilities provided.

“It was in the year 2003 that we started with two treatment centres. The primary dental sector was in its infancy and the specialist approach towards patients was really low.”

It certainly was a task to get patients to trust doctors and believe in them. “Patients used to ask me if it’s possible to move the teeth or improve the smile,” he said. After a lot of efforts put into convincing people, we managed to slowly gather loyal patients, who started trusting us.

“We mainly focussed on three things in the beginning— specialist approach to treatment, hygiene protocol, patient safety, and customer care and follow up.”

Having started with just two treatment centres, which have now grown and expanded to eight dental centres with premium facilities that include 3D imaging and sleep dentistry (for patients who are scared of dental procedures), George and his team’s persistent dedication and commitment have paid off.

With the aim of bringing stateof-the-art facilities to Oman and providing the best dental options to his customers, George continues to thrive hard for the success of Wassan Specialty Dental Clinic and the satisfaction of his customers, miles away from his hometown, which is in the South Indian state of Kerala.

Oman is second home for George and his family, including his parents, who have spent decades in the country and it gives him joy to serve in this country.
