MUSCAT: Oman Arab Bank (OAB), on the occasion of Omani Teacher’s Day, organised a special draw specifically for teachers as part of the ‘Hassad’ Savings Scheme for 2017.

The draw saw 35 teachers across the country, holding accounts with OAB, take a share of the total prize pool of OMR10,500.

The Omani Teacher's Day Draw event took place at Ministry of Education (MoE) recently was presided over by representatives from MoE. Representing OAB at the event were Rashad Al Sheikh; DGM-Retail Banking, and Hilal Al Siyabi; head of CSR. The event saw each of the 35 teachers receive OMR300 as part of the draw, says a press release.

Commenting on the draw, Ra- shad Al Shaikh said, “Teachers hold one of the most important roles in our country. It is through their hard work and effort that our children, and in turn the entire country, are guided towards a brighter future. As such, we at OAB wanted to reward and dedicate one of our special ‘Hassad’ Savings Scheme Draws of the year to them in celebration of the Omani Teacher's Day.”

The 35 winners, as part of the Teacher’s Day draw, coupled with the 65 winners of the regular Hassad savings scheme draw that took place earlier in the week, took the total number of winners for the month of February to 100. This is in line with the objective of the scheme; which was designed to maximise the number of chances to win by rewarding 100 winners each month throughout the year.

“On behalf of OAB, I would like to congratulate each and every teacher in Oman on the occasion of the Teacher’s Day. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate each of our 100 winners for the month of February; as well as encourage all of our customers to continue saving and wish them the best of luck in the remainder of the draws this year,” added Al Sheikh.
