TSC sponsors Down Syndrome Day event
MUSCAT: As part of its ongoing social outreach initiatives, The Sultan Center sponsored Down Syndrome Day activities organised recently by the Oman Down Syndrome Association.
TSC’s support continues its social mission to uplift communities in Oman through partnerships with welfare organisations or sponsorships that spread awareness to the public on the importance of such initiatives.
Commenting on TSC’s sponsorship of Down Syndrome Day, Mahmoud Al Sheik, marketing manager, said, “As one of Oman’s most recognised retail brand we strive to provide the best to our customers. At the same time, as a dutiful and socially responsible corporate brand, we are committed to assisting in the development of Omani communities in every possible way that we can. We are happy to be part of the activities of the Oman Down Syndrome Association and help them in their mission.”
Rajaa Al Salmi from the association thanked TSC saying, “We are grateful to The Sultan Center for their support and generosity, which have made the day’s events a success. We hope that more corporates follow their example and be an active part in similar social initiatives.”
Set up under the Ministry of Social Development, the Oman Down Syndrome Association helps integrate children and individuals with the condition into mainstream society so that they reach their full potential.
