Zubair Furnishing honoured at MoM event

MUSCAT: Commending the efforts for its role in supporting the Omani youth and its tangible contributi­on in the areas of vocational training, Al Seeb Vocational Training Centre (VTC) honoured Zubair Furnishing, at an open day event held under the patronage of Ministry of Manpower recently.

Thanking the Ministry of Manpower for the recognitio­n, Vivek Pai, executive vice president at Zubair Furnishing, said, “Zubair Furnishing reiterates its commitment to invest in Omani youth and believes that they are a key factor to the country’s progress. We understand that a strong commitment to training pays long-term dividends. Though our vocational training programme we have been ensuring that the youth acquire employable skills. We are pleased to mention that some of these trainees have been provided employment opportunit­ies at our facilities.”

Sulaiman Hamed Murad Al Bulushi, AGM-HR (ECC) Sector, Zubair Furnishing said, “This recognitio­n is acknowledg­ement of our company’s investment in Omani youth and we are delighted to be honoured. We understand the importance of skill developmen­t to empower the youth. That is why we have been coordinati­ng with Vocational Training Centre for ‘On The Job’ (OTJ) for many years now. Over the years, we have engaged with many trainees and recruited some of those who trained with us. During their training, these young men impressed us with their outstandin­g commitment and special skills.”

Humaid Sulaiman Humaid Al Amry, a vocational trainee who is now working with Zubair Furnishing said, “I was lucky to have the opportunit­y to study at the Vocational Training Centre who sent me for On The Job (OTJ) training in Zubair Furnishing. It was an inspiring learning experience for me. I was delighted when I was offered a job at Zubair Furnishing since I felt that they were expressing confidence in my work. I am honoured to be being part of the organisati­on.”
