MUSCAT: With the growing demands of automobilists around the world, the Geely’s designers, led by Peter Horbury - a wellknown car designer, are now building intelligent, attractive next-generation Geely cars that make driving easier, smoother and more fun.

A team of 100 European and Chinese designers at Geely Group’s R&D Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden, is continuously adapting their design strategies and creating exquisite, highquality vehicles that boast of Sino-European aesthetics and state of art features. The new design has completely transformed Geely’s second generation cars, giving it a very classy and elegant look from every possible angle.

The next generation Geely cars are ahead of its times and has elements of both a modern car and its Chinese roots. The design of the cars is inspired by Chinese culture and architecture. Its interior is inspired by Chinese stone bridges, while details such as the stitching down the centre of the seat are meant to reflect a traditional Chinese gown.

A spokesperson from Towell Auto Centre (TAC), the sole distributor of Geely cars in Oman, said: “Over the past decade, Geely has become a leading Chinese automotive manufacturer with a strong global presence because of its entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to innovation and manufacturing efficiency. The Geely designers are now building cars that are economical, environment-friendly and energy efficient. They keep shaping their strategies to respond efficiently to the changing needs and requirements of their customers. Such qualities make Geely compete effectively with its industry peers as it continues to grow domestically and internationally.”
