Majlis Al Shura to host minister of housing

MUSCAT: A statement of the Ministry of Housing will be discussed at the Majlis Al Shura when it hosts Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Shabibi, Minister of Housing.

The minister will be hosted during the 17th and 18th ordinary sessions of the second annual session (2016/2017) of the eighth term of the Majlis Al Shura on Wednesday and Thursday.

This was stated by Sheikh Ali bin Nasser Al Mahrouqi, Secretary-General of Majlis Al Shura.

Five themes

The Secretary-General of Majlis Al Shura added that the statement includes themes covering various aspects, including the preparation of layouts and land plots for various uses, distribute them to their beneficiaries, provide housing assistance and loans, and the construction of social housing for the target groups.

He added that the first theme will discuss the requirements that are taken into account by the Ministry in the selection of locations of urban plans for different purposes.

Procedures

The second theme pertains to the procedures for the distribution of land plots according to its uses and conditions in various wilayats of the Sultanate, Sheikh Mahrouqi said. The third theme will discuss the conditions and requirements of housing assistance and housing loans.

Development

The fourth theme will deal with ownership and development of real estate in terms of the conditions and requirements to allow the developers of real estate in the housing sector to build residential complexes that fit the income of citizens.
