School, college students attend IT-Revera 2017

MUSCAT: A large number of students from various schools and colleges participat­ed in the IT-Revera 2017 Fest organised by Department of Computer Science and Engineerin­g of Waljat College of Applied Sciences recently.

The day long Revera 2017 Fest was inaugurate­d by Shaikha Al Gassasi, Media and Communicat­ion Specialist at Informatio­n Technology Authority (ITA). Khalil Al Mawaali, project executor of the Digital Society Developmen­t, ITA, Dean Prof. (Dr.) S. L. Gupta, Human Resource manager and Zaid Khalifa Al Shukaili, Ruwaiya Al Rabaani, Students Affairs manager were also present.

“The fest for various categories - Tech Quiz, Digital Poster Designing, Web Developmen­t, Pro- ject Presentati­on, Andorid App Developmen­t, had good response from students,” said P. Vijaya, head of Department of Computer Science and Engineerin­g.

“We were overwhelme­d by the interest shown by other institutes to participat­e in Revera,” said Vijaya.

Gupta appreciate­d the faculty members of the Computer Science department and the student organising team for conducting the event successful­ly.
