MUSCAT: Elite Concept International has officially opened Maurya’s, a new casual dining restaurant offering you a culinary journey through India.
On this occasion, Indra Mani Pandey, the Indian ambassador to Oman, officially launched the restaurant. Located on 18th November Street in Azaiba, this modern eatery boasts an open plan kitchen and a light airy ambience to make customers feel right at home.
Maurya’s promises a taste of an era where Maharajas once dictated what a truly royal meal is all about. From the vibrant state of Rajasthan, to colourful Punjab and the exotic southern region, the restaurant presents a vivid illustration of Pan-Indian cuisine. A single-minded focus on sophisticated Indian gastronomy, seasoned with subtle yet complex marinades using time honoured Indian culinary methods. The menu features a host of mouth-watering dishes from all over India and diners can enjoy rich, creamy flavours with a choice of mild or wildly spiced authentic Indian food.

A key attraction at the restaurant is the range of Thalis on offer. Guests can enjoy either a vegetar- ian or non-vegetarian Maharaja Thali that boasts of 12 dishes on offer including 2 different meat dishes, 4 vegetarian dishes, salads, sweets and buttermilk and for the less adventurous, the executive Thali that offers 7 carefully crafted dishes to suit every palate. These Thalis can be enjoyed for lunch and dinner throughout the week except on Friday evenings.
Guests can also choose from a selection of popular savoury snacks known as Chaat, traditionally found at road-side stalls across India or breakfast dishes to fuel start your day. The chef has created his own interpretation of these traditional delicacies enabling diners to have a well-rounded experience at Maurya’s. Its extensive menu features a multitude of a la carte items fit for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the restaurant is open from 8am to 11:30pm every day.
