Al Hilal Islamic Banking donates electronic devices

As part of one of the Ramadan initiatives, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development, a number of electronic devices to needy families were distributed in Rustaq and Saham where Al Hilal Islamic Banking Services has branches

MUSCAT: In line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plans, ahlibank’s Al Hilal Islamic Banking Services distributed a number of electronic devices to needy families in Rustaq and Saham.

To showcase enduring commitment to support the communities it operates in, ahlibank had launched unique initiatives to mark the holy month of Ramadan. As part of one of the Ramadan initiatives, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development, a number of electronic devices to needy families were distributed in Rustaq and Saham where Al Hilal Islamic Banking Services has branches.

Adawi Rashid Mohammed Al Ajmi, branch manager of Al Hilal Islamic Banking Services, Rustaq, Abdul Rahman Ghoulom Al Balushi, branch manager of Al Hilal Islamic Banking Services, Saham and a representative from Ministry of Social Development distributed the electronic devices in the respective locations.

As part of the Ramadan initiatives, ahlibank will also distribute 150,000 water bottles in mosques in several wilayats across the Sultanate. ahlibank will support the Suqia water project by supplying water bottles to mosques selected in the wilayat.

Adawi Rashid Mohammed Al Ajmi, branch manager of Al Hilal Islamic Banking Services, Rustaq, said, “The initiatives planned for the holy month reflects the company’s CSR strategy in which we focus on giving back to the community.”

Abdul Rahman Ghoulom Al Balushi, branch manager of Al Hilal Islamic Banking Services, Saham said, “Our bank has judiciously selected the initiatives that addvalue to the needy segments of society. We thank the Ministry of Social Development for their support.”

As part of its continuing commitment to give back to the community, ahlibank has been organising the ‘ahlibank Charity Drive’ during Ramadan over the last eight years. Through the annual campaign the bank gives back to various social institutions – orphanages, schools, women’s associations, associations for the differently-abled and NGOs. At ahlibank, CSR has been the core of its existence from the time of the bank’s inception.
