Badr Al Samaa Group lays foundation stone of 100-bedded hospital in Suhar

The constructi­on of the 100-bedded multispeci­ality hospital facility in Suhar is expected to complete in two years

MUSCAT: Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals announced the laying of the foundation stone of a 100-bedded multi-speciality hospital facility in Suhar.

The foundation stone was laid by Engineer Salim bin Hamed Al Kindi, director general of Suhar Municipali­ty in the presence of Sheikh Salam Hassan Ba Alavi, director general of Health, North Batinah governorat­e recently. The ceremony was attended by the Board of Directors V. T. Vinod, and Abdul Latheef including officials from various corporates, communitie­s and many other dignitarie­s.

Addressing the gathering, Abdul Latheef, director, Badr Al Samaa stated ‘’It is a momentous day for us today, in our journey to bring world-class healthcare to the people of North Batinah region. Affordabil­ity, accessibil­ity, and availabili­ty of all services under one roof are the advantages of Badr Al Samaa and we will continue to keep it affordable.” Constructi­on is expected to complete in two years, he further added. “It will have modern designs with all facilities that will increase patient satisfacti­on with cutting-edge comfort and dignity. We are proud to offer specialise­d services that meet the healthcare needs of the people of the region.”

Vinod, director, Badr Al Samaa, emphasised about its commitment to the people of Oman by providing quality treatment and as part of its commitment, two of its hospitals in Oman and two in Bahrain have been accredited by Joint Commission Internatio­nal (JCI USA). It is one of the highest quality award certificat­ion bodies in healthcare sector. New hospital in Suhar aims to the hub of centres of excellence that will match the best in the region with its infrastruc­ture, tech- nology and expertise. From cardiac care, neurosurge­ries, mother and childcare, nephrology, neo natal critical care, comprehens­ive internal medicine, the latest in imaging, laboratory etc, and all services will be available under one roof.

In his closing remark, Manoj Kumar, branch head, said, “We are pleased that we have reached this important milestone and look forward to seeing the new hospital, providing the best possible quality care and expressed their gratitude to Engineer Salim bin Hamed Al Kindi and Sheikh Salam Hassan Ba Alavi and other dignitarie­s who were present on the occasion.” He also acknowledg­ed the support of the Suhar municipali­ty, Ministry of Health and their support staff.
