MUSCAT: The newest luxury car brand, the Genesis has arrived in Oman recently. Currently the brand Genesis will offer two luxury car models, G90 and G80.
Offering superior levels of comfort and technology, advanced safety and driver assistance features, and a choice of three V6 and V8 engines including an all-new twin-turbo option, the G90 has been engineered from the ground up to offer elite customers a distinctive choice.
The impressive full-size G90 sedan will be the flagship of the allnew Genesis brand, and is the first in a planned range of cars that will redefine the top end of the automotive market. Also available is the more driver-focused G80, which shall be followed by its sports variant, later this year. Further, the compact G70 is planned to be introduced by this year-end, while two SUVs and a sports coupe are expected by 2020 to complete an enticing six-model line-up.

Genesis aims to create cars around customers’ unique lifestyles, with a strong emphasis on originality. The G90 is a powerful representation of the new brand’s ‘Athletic Elegance’ design language, which will be carried through to future Genesis products. The sedan creates a strong first impression on the road, with a prominent bonnet, long wheelbase and short front and rear overhangs creating an immediate sense of purpose.
The passenger cabin is lovingly crafted from the finest materials and textures, and with meticulous attention to detail. Soft leather seats are adjustable to the smallest detail of personal preference, while superior levels of noise insulation ensure that passengers can enjoy their journey with a sense of pure relaxation.

Attention to detail through the Genesis G90’s development has been meticulous. Advanced ergonomic analysis dictates the positioning of driver controls, passenger comfort and entertainment features, while exclusive materials are sourced from the finest artisans around the world. For optimised comfort, Genesis offers an impressive 22-way power driver seat as an option.
G90 owners will immediately notice the highest standards of refined performance. These characteristics are central to the Genesis brand, with development teams carrying out rigorous performance testing at the company’s European Technical Center at the Nürburgring in Germany and the California Proving Grounds in the Mojave Desert.
Even with this sporty and responsive character, the G90 interior environment remains well-mannered. G90 powertrain options include a 3.8-litre direct injected V6, an all-new 3.3-litre direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6, or the award-winning Tau 5.0-litre direct-injected V8 for ultimate power, coupled to an eightspeed, automatic transmission.
With advanced technological innovation at its core, the G90 features Genesis Smart Sense, a suite of driver safety technologies. These features cover the full spectrum of active and passive safety, from driver alertness and focus to total occupant safety, and even the safety of other drivers around you. This suite brings together systems such as Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Smart Cruise Control with Stop/Start, Smart Blind Spot Detection and Lane Departure Warning System.
Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), utilising sensor fusion technology, helps avoid a potential collision or reduce its impact. With this system, G90 will employ automatic braking when it detects another vehicle or pedestrian at an unsafe closing rate of speed.
This system uses the front radar from the Smart Cruise Control system and the forward camera from the Lane Departure Warning System to provide this extra margin of safety.
The Genesis G90, along with all Genesis vehicles, is being offered with exclusive consumer-centric programs to elevate the luxury ownership experience through the Genesis mobile app and Genesis Connected Services, for information on the vehicle’s health, driving and maintenance information. The Genesis experience includes complimentary maintenance, roadside assistance, map care service and courtesy car service. These apart, Genesis customers are entitled to five years /unlimited mileage manufacturer warranty and will also get complimentary Genesis Concierge Services – providing Genesis owners with an integrated solution to provide lifestyle management services – combining lifestyle, travel and medical, for a period of 2 years.
