MHD delivers 1st Ford truck in Dhofar region to Gulf International Mining

MUSCAT: A dominant name in the automobile industry, Ford Trucks has introduced their road, construction and tractor range of product to Oman.

Collaborating with a leading player in the sector, Mohsin Haider Darwish (MHD), Ford Trucks enjoyed a prominent debut and began it successful operations in Oman. Ford Trucks combines 57-year production experience with market-specific product development skills to engineer the main components of the vehicles including the all-new engines.

MHD delivered the first Ford truck in Dhofar region to Gulf International Mining Company recently, thus establishing a new milestone in its journey. The ceremony saw various key officials from the region.

Reddy, managing director of Gulf International Mining Company on receiving the vehicle expressed his gratitude to MHD group and Bassem for the hospitality and special service rendered to him. “From a team so professional, I have no doubts that I will receive the necessary support. Though this is my first Ford truck, I can confidently say that I will be in touch with MHD to procure more of these vehicles in the near future.”

Customising itself to suit the requirements of the GCC market, the makers of Ford Trucks invested in continuous road tests which were carried on for 2 years, covering 300,000km. Taking into account the feedback from local customers, the company was able to make significant changes that helped them to further enhance the quality of their vehicles.

Ford Trucks for the Gulf region come equipped with a hot climate package, which offers increased air conditioner performance as well as an improved radiator and filtration. The package is offered across the entire product line-up for GCC countries. In addition, lu- bricants used on the transmission and engines are also more suited to tackle high temperatures.

Differentiating itself from other players in the market, Ford Trucks is also an industry-first to offer a three-year unlimited mileage warranty for Oman customers. Warranty terms substantially contribute to the readily competitive total cost of ownership of Ford Trucks models
