Mall of Oman to have hi-tech data after Omantel agreement signed
MUSCAT: Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, signed an agreement with Omantel, the country’s first telecoms operator and the largest provider of internet services, to build an onsite, leading-edge voice and data network supporting the largest-ever lifestyle destination under construction in the Sultanate.
When open in 2020, the estimated OMR275 million Mall of Oman will feature services including fixed voice and data services, and mobile voice and high speed broadband connectivity for its more than 350 retail and 20 dining outlets across a 137,000 sqm leasable space, all delivered via the dedicated Omantel network.
