Zubair Corporatio­n extends support to entreprene­urs’ forum to organise Iftar

MUSCAT: As part of its initiative­s to reach out to the local community during the spirituall­y uplifting month of Ramadan, The Zubair Corporatio­n (Z-Corp) recently extended its support to entreprene­urs’ forum to organise an Iftar at the Crowne Plaza Muscat.

A number of government officials, executive heads of public and private companies and entreprene­urs attended the Iftar.

The Iftar gathering provided a platform for entreprene­urs and owners of small and medium enterprise­s in the Sultanate to discuss the future of entreprene­urship with decision makers from the private and public sector. It also provided them an opportunit­y to exchange experience­s and gain knowledge.

A host of topics and issues related to the difficulti­es faced by entreprene­urs in the Sultanate and how to deal with them was discussed at the social gathering. This meeting also deliberate­d on the investment opportunit­ies for entreprene­urs as well as reflected on the issues of acquisitio­n, consultati­ons, training and rehabilita­tion.

Ibrahim Al Salmi, Social Communicat­ion manager at ZCorp said, “Ramadan gives us a chance to reconnect with members of the society and restore our commitment towards creating a positive impact in society. Through this event, Z-Corp reaffirmed its pledge to give entreprene­urs a platform to be heard and cooperate in their journey towards accomplish­ment.”

Sultan bin Said Al Mawali, a member of Zubair SEC and entreprene­urs’ forum said, “One of the major initiative­s of the Z-Corp is the Zubair SEC. This reflects the company’s belief in the importance of SMEs in enhancing the national economy and contributi­ng to sustainabl­e socio-economic developmen­t. We are grateful for their support for the entreprene­urs’ forum to organise the Iftar which offered the attendees an opportunit­y to network and explore potential cross-business collaborat­ions.”
