Suhail Bahwan Auto launches DETA Batteries in the Sultanate

Keeping in line its business growth objective, Suhail Bahwan Automobiles partnered with Exide Technologies at an exclusive event organised recently to launch DETA Batteries

MUSCAT: Suhail Bahwan Automobiles unveiled DETA Batteries an all-rounder for most modern vehicles, standard equipment and everyday driving at a special event held here.

DETA Batteries is made in Germany by Exide Technologies, one of the largest manufacturers of lead-acid batteries in Europe.

Keeping in line its business growth objective, Suhail Bahwan Automobiles partnered with Exide Technologies at an exclusive event organised recently to launch DETA Batteries.

The official launch ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel was attended by Federico Montessori, senior director Europe and Middle East, Madhusudan Chari, sales director MEA, Rajib Chakraborty, country sales manager, for Exide Technologies, Ahmed Bahwan, chairman, Bahwan International Group Holding, Divyendu Kumar, managing director, Bahwan International Group Holding and Senior representatives from Bahwan International Group Holding.

Ahmed Bahwan said, “We are delighted to enter into this partnership with Exide Technologies. Exide’s DETA batteries are world famous for their superior quality and are used in various types of European and Japanese cars, trucks, motorcycles and various agricultural machineries. DETA batteries meet the highest quality standards and we are happy to bring that to Oman.”

The brand DETA was founded in 1949 in Germany and was subsequently acquired by Exide Technologies in 1997. The brand has a very strong presence and is distributed in more than 60 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The brand DETA covers batter- ies of different applications and also brings to the forefront batteries with advanced technology such as AGM and EFB for Start Stop applications in Light Vehicles and HVR (High Vibration resistant) batteries in commercial range for the Oman market.
