Rajasthani folk dance troupe to visit Oman
MUSCAT: A 10-member cultural troupe from Rajasthan State of India, which is visiting Oman from August 22 to 27, will be presenting folk dance performance at the closing ceremony of Khareef Festival in Salalah on August 27.
The troupe, led by popular Rajasthani dancer Kamali, will also perform in Muscat on the premises of the Embassy of India in Al Khuwair tomorrow at 7pm.
Rajasthan has many forms of folk dances, which are attractive, skilful, and enjoyable by any age group. Rajasthani folk dances are popular all around the globe.

Celebrating India @70, Indian Embassy has planned a series of events in Oman, throughout the year during August 2017 - Ausugt 2018. Oman has already witnessed Kathak performances in Muscat, Sohar, Nizwa and Salalah. In coming months, the embassy will organise more classical dance performances, musical performances, a theatre festival, a quiz competition, a painting exhibition, a painting competition, essay competition, a seminar, etc. Indian Social Club, as well as Indian schools in Oman, are also organising various events in celebration of India@70.
