Muscat Science Fest Meditalk on Friday

MUSCAT: Muscat Science Fest (MSF) - the science and technology arm of Indian Social Club Oman Kerala Wing, formed with the vision of encouraging scientific acumen among the student community and the public is organising the second edition of Meditalk - an interactive session involving the best of medical experts in Oman.

MSF Meditalk in its second season shall be hosting 11 expert doctors, the biggest names in Oman’s health sector who shall be directly interacting with the crowd, answering their healthrelated queries, as well as driving an awareness session touching upon vivid medical topics.

The event is organised in association with the Nedumbassery chapter of Indian Medical Association and shall be held on Au- gust 25 at 6pm at Indian School Darsait main hall.

Interactive session

The programme aims to create a venue for people who seldom have an opportunity to get an expert medical opinion either due to their living circumstances or due to their lack of awareness of diseases, to interact with a panel of medics and get their queries resolved. MSF office bearers said that this year’s session will focus and address mainly on the various health concerns, both physiological and psychological, faced by the student community.

Entry to the programme is free. MSF plans to unveil similar programmes rooted in science in the following months that shall evoke interest among the student community and public alike.
