AIWA Awards all set to felicitate best performers

MUSCAT: Come August 28, Oman will witness the most high profile event of its kind targeted primarily at the top echelons of the business community in the Sultanate.

Setting up new benchmarks in the industry, corporates in Oman will be felicitated based on a qualitative performance survey.

To recognise the top achievers in Oman’s corporate world, Alam al-Iktisaad Wal A’mal ( AIWA) had instituted the annual awards for Oman’s Best Performing Companies in 2011. published by United Media Services, is Oman’s leading Arabic business magazine. This year marks the seventh edition of the AIWA Awards.

In a red carpet awards evening at Hotel Sheraton, Muscat AIWA will felicitate the top performing listed companies in Oman during the last financial year.

Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb, undersecretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry will be the chief guest at the event. Overall 15 top ranking companies will receive the coveted trophy across three categories.

Furthermore, special awards will be presented for achievements that go beyond the balance sheet such as Lifetime Achievement, Excellence in Corporate Leadership, CEO of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year and Best Manufacturer of the Year, etc.

A networker’s dream, the event will be attended by the who’s who of Muscat corporate high life. The premium event will attract more than 200 top business leaders, CEOs and senior government officials from a cross-section of industries, ministries and government bodies. It will witness the congregation of the key decisionmakers who are driving the country’s business and economy.
