Dar Al Atta’a aid for students of 69 schools in Oman

4,897 school students were given stationery while 2,198 were given uniforms

MUSCAT: To help underprivi­leged students at the start of the new academic year, charity Dar Al Atta’a has provided school supplies, stationery and uniforms to thousands of pupils.

With the help of the Al Hadash National Company and cash donations given by National Life and General Insurance Company of OMR6,000, Dar Al Atta’a allocated OMR1,500 for stationery, OMR1,500 for school uniforms and OMR3,000 for school meals under its Student Care Programme.

Sorting all the donations took a week and the aid packages were distribute­d to schools and Dar Al Atta’a families dependent on aid.

A total of 69 schools received aid, and the number of students given stationery stood at 4,897, with 721 students from Dar Al Atta’a families. The number of students who received school uniforms was 2,198, along with 877 from Dar Al Atta’a families.

Every year

The Chairperso­n of the Dar Al Atta’a organisati­on, Maryam Al Zadjali, said Dar Al Atta’a provides school supplies at the start of the academic year every year.

This support comes as part of the “Student Care Programme” that the organisati­on has adopted. Furthermor­e, Dar Al Atta’a organises an annual campaign named, “Sponsor a Student” and “Change for Change.”

Al Zadjali extended her thanks to all the supporting companies that continuall­y contribute in making the ‘ Student Care Programme’ succeed.
