Al Mudhaibi rope in FBT as kit sponsor for ‘historic season’

The club from Sharqiyah region will have FBT, the pioneering company of sportswear in Thailand, as kit sponsors in their ‘historic season’

MUSCAT: Ahead of their maiden campaign in the top tier of Oman football, Al Mudhaibi Club showed their ‘profession­al’ approach by roping in a new kit sponsor for the 2017-18 Omantel League season.

The club from Sharqiyah region, who are promoted to Omantel League for the first time after topping the First Division in 2016-17 season, will have FBT, the pioneer- ing company of sportswear in Thailand, as kit sponsors in their ‘historic season’.

The club unveiled their new jerseys and other kit during the offi- cial kit launch ceremony organised on the club premises on Monday.

Al Mudhaibi, which was establishe­d in 1986, begin their historic journey in the Sultanate’s top league when they take on Al Shabab Club on the first day of the new Omantel League season at Seeb Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Al Mudhaibi’s team manager Ahmad Al Habsi expressed his gratitude to FBT for their sponsorshi­p of all sports teams in the club for the 2017-2018 season and for agreeing to provide all sportswear for the teams.

“We are proud that our team are now in Omantel League,” manager Ahmad Al Habsi said.

“We try our best to make them profession­al at all levels, outside and inside the playground, in order to achieve the required results” Al Habsi added.

It is worth mentioning that FTB sponsors a number of national teams in Asia and clubs in Scotland and England.

The 2017-18 Omantel League season kicks off on Wednesday with as many as five matches.
