Aster DM Healthcare bags Gulf Business Award 2017

DUBAI: Aster DM Healthcare won the prestigiou­s annual ‘Gulf Business Award 2017’ for the ‘Healthcare Company of the Year’ category.

Alisha Moopen, executive director & CEO - Hospital & Clinics in GCC, Aster DM Healthcare, received the award in a dazzling award ceremony held at Fairmont The Palm Hotel in Dubai on September 10, in the presence of the region’s prominent business leaders and top executives. The awards instituted by Motivate – judged by an independen­t panel and public voting – sought to celebrate excellence in the corporate world and recognise leaders across nine industries.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Azad Moopen, founder chairman & managing director of Aster DM Healthcare said, “We are proud to receive this honour from the gulf region on our ‘30th Anniversar­y Year’ - a landmark year of our journey towards the excellence in healthcare. We are happy that we could shoulder and add value to the healthcare infrastruc­ture developmen­ts and a quality healthcare eco-system developmen­t in those regions we operate. We believe this is an honour to our entire workforce of about 20,000 staff engaged in catering to the need and services of about 50,000 people per day through our facilities spread across nine countries. The sixth edition of the event saw 27 awards given away during the evening in various categories. The Gulf Business Awards cover a wide spectrum of economic sectors, from energy to real estate. Each year, the award celebrates regional titans of industry, government officials, small and medium-sized enterprise­s as well as entreprene­urs. Profession­ally, Gulf Business Awards attendees are at the top of their game. Not only do they drive forward the corporate agenda, but they also drive the national and internatio­nal agendas and the audience consists of those who have contribute­d in raising the Gulf ’s profile, both regionally and internatio­nally. In each sector, a company and business leader of the year will be recognised.
