Chopard’s ambassador earns victory at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb
MUSCAT: Having won in 2014 and 2016, Dumas claimed victory yet again this year, for the third time at the second oldest motorsports race in America, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado Springs - ‘The Race to the Clouds’.
Driving the Norma MXX RD Limited, he successfully defended his title and became the first Frenchman to win the race three times in a row.
Chopard congratulated Romain Dumas on his win at the race. Both Chopard and Romain Dumas shares values of performance, independence and passion for ultimate racing and mechanism. Romain Dumas chose to wear a MilleMiglia GTS Speedblack for the race, a perfect fit with his black prototype racing car.
Cloaked in deep black, the Mille Miglia GTS collection was inspired by the legendary Italian competi- tion for which Chopard has been serving as official timekeeper since 1988. Sophisticated design and technical excellence in this exclusive timepiece are powered by Chopard calibre and chronometercertified by the COSC. With its red ‘RossaCorsa’ detailing, oversized numerals, engine-style finishing and its strap featuring a vintage Dunlop racing tyre-tread motif, the new MilleMiglia GTS Speedblack – issued in a 1,000-piece limited edition – perpetuates the Chopard classic racing spirit.
Chopard models are displayed at Khimji’s Watches showroom.
