IBN Blasters, BOC and ISAS record contrastin­g victories

MUSCAT: A scintillat­ing unbeaten 78 off just 38 balls by Vibin Panaparamb­il powered IBN Blasters to an eight-wicket win over Sam Royals in an I Division game at OAC Ground III in Al Seeb.

Asked to bat first, Royals struggled to find rhythm and were restricted to 117 for seven in 20 overs, thanks to excellent bowling by Blasters, particular­ly by Azad Saidu and Sujith Babu, who bagged three and two wickets respective- ly. Anudeep P. V. scored a fighting 48 not out off 34 balls. Vibin looked in ominous form as Blasters raced to the target in just 10.4 overs, losing only two wickets.

Rushil turns BOC’s hero

A superb unbeaten century by Rush- il Dadwal led Bowsher Olympic Centre (BOC) to a crushing 122-run win over MCCC A in an Under-16 league match at Muscat Municipali­ty Ground II in Al Amerat.

Batting first, BOC amassed 234 for two in 30 overs, Rushil topscoring with a wonderful 138 off 101 balls. Shubhang Sathavara (39) and Vraj Asher (33 not out) also batted well.

In reply, MCCC A folded up for 112 in 19.5 overs. Only Adarsh Rajesh (45 not out) and Smit Asher (24) showed any resistance to BOC bowling, led by wily Shryas Raghavan who claimed four wickets. Sidhant Gavankar and Sidhant Sivkumar took two wickets each.

AFahad lifts ISAS to victory

Fahad Qureshi’s brilliant all-round show steered India School Al Seeb (ISAS) to a 79-run victory against Indian School Ghubrah (ISG) in another U-16 league game at Muscat Municipali­ty Ground IV.

Fahad first top-scored for ISAS by contributi­ng 46 not out batting at No. 9 as his side scored 207 for nine in 30 overs.

Aditya Sathish batted well too for his 28. Krishna bagged four wickets for 27 runs while Sanin Fahad took two wickets.

Fahad Qureshi bowled a splendid spell, taking five wickets as ISG went down without a fight. It was finally skittled out for 128 in 25.2 overs. Opener Sanin Fahad topscored with 30 off 24.
