ITA celebrates graduation of incubated enterprises
MUSCAT: ITA, or Information Technology Authority celebrated the graduation of its second batch of the incubated SMEs from Sas Centre for Entrepreneurship, under the patronage of Dr. Salim Al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA at Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) on Monday.
Two incubated companies, including Eman Design and AMG Tech graduated to join the local market as Omani emerging and specialised companies in ICT.
Sas for Entrepreneurship was established in March 2013, and aims at developing ICT field in the Sultanate through encouraging entrepreneurship and incubating the emerging projects in different areas of this vital sector.
Promising SMEs
On this occasion, Hamoud bin Dawood Al Hamdan, Director of Sas Centre for Entrepreneurship at ITA, said: “Today, we proudly celebrate the graduation of two new and promising SMEs in the ICT field, which will move on the Omani market with full confidence and reasonable experience after passing the incubation period at the Sas Centre for Entre- preneurship, during which they received a number of supporting services and facilities offered by the center, such as specialised IT training, management and entrepreneurship, Human resources management, accounting and finance, legal consultancies and marketing etc.”.
He added, “Since its inception in 2013, Sas Center for Entrepreneurship incubated 51 emerging companies in various IT fields, and their overall revenues reached more than OMR2.7 million and offered more than 320 job opportunities for Omani youth”.
