Oman stall gets good response

Visitors at World Trade Market showed admiration for the unique diversity of tourism and environmen­t of the Sultanate

LONDON: A great number of visitors were received at the Sultanate’s pavilion at the World Travel Market which has concluded here.

The visitors showed their admiration for the unique diversity of tourism and environmen­t of the Sultanate, in terms of the natural and geographic­al locations, history and originalit­y of the Omani life.

The Sultanate, was represente­d by the Ministry of Tourism, at the WTM exhibition in the British capital. A number of activities, including specialise­d workshops in the tourism sector and official meetings among the participat­ing countries were held.

Maitha bint Saif Al Mahrouqiya­h, Undersecre­tary of the Ministry of Tourism, headed the delegation of the Sultanate with the participat­ion of 20 institutio­ns, companies, hotels and tourism from the tourism sector in the Sultanate under the umbrella of the Ministry of Tourism.

The Undersecre­tary of the Ministry of Tourism participat­ed on the sidelines of the exhibition at the World Summit of Ministers, heads of tourist bodies and heads of delegation­s participat­ing in the exhibition organised by the World Tourism Organisati­on to discuss the most important issues and challenges facing the tourism sector globally at the government­al level in the presence of decision makers.

The Sultanate’s pavilion witnessed several official meetings with participan­ts from government delegation­s, investors, businessme­n, bodies, institutio­ns and travel and tourism companies.

The specialist­s presented informatio­n and video presentati­ons of the most important tourist and historical sites, and publicatio­ns that help in the promotion and introducti­on of tourist places in the Sultanate.
