Indian Social Club - Salalah Kerala Wing reveals its mission and vision

SALALAH: Indian Social Club (ISC) – Salalah has formed its new linguistic division, Kerala Wing recently. The wing revealed its mission, vision and strategy in a press meet.

Currently, Malayalam Wing is the only authorised centre in Salalah for the Keralites to showcase their social, arts and cultural talents.

Kerala Wing’s first goal is to promote traditiona­l arts & cultural forms from the villages of Kerala. Its second goal would be conducting youth festival for the talented youths in Salalah. It is also plan- ning to conduct sports meets.

Another important mission for the Kerala Wing is to conduct community welfare programme in associatio­n with ISC - Salalah, by extending its support to central and state government agencies to communicat­e and convey the benefits of Pravasi Welfare Programmes and assist the needy Keralites in the region.

It will coordinate with other social welfare associatio­ns in Salalah to assist the low-income population for their medical and health-related issues. The wing is also planning to conduct medical camps, blood donation camps, etc.

It would also organise career guidance classes for the children in Salalah. Finally, it has plans to identify the senior citizens in Salalah from Kerala, explore their talent in the field of traditiona­l art and culture, and organise a stage for them to share their experience­s with the people in Salalah.

Kerala Wing has said that it will work together in harmony and full cooperatio­n with all other associatio­ns including Malayalam Wing in Salalah.
