MUSCAT: A match-winning all-round show by Sajeev Sathyanand­an saw Maxitech Internatio­nal record an eight-wicket win over Sketch Internatio­nal in an H Division game at OAC Gound III in Al Seeb.

Sajeev first bowled beautifull­y, taking two wickets for 24 as his side dismissed Sketch Internatio­nal for 146 in 20 overs. He was later instrument­al in Maxitech winning the game comfortabl­y in 13.1 overs, scoring a hurricane 77 off 38 balls.

Johan ton powers Danmark

A superb unbeaten century by Johan Cilliers steered Danmark to a 10-wicket victory over Kone CT in an I Division match played at OAC Gound III.

Requiring 166 for victory, Danmark raced to the target in the 16th over, scoring 168 without loss with Johan notching up 116 off 64 balls. Fellow opener Doresh Devender scored 40 not out off 28.

Brief scores: Kone CT 165 all out in 19.5 overs (Harshith Kumar 31, Shabeer Musthafa 25, Mahesh Kumar 24; Hossain Sajad 3/27, Prathamesh Kumble 2/18, Junaid Iqbal 2/26) lost to Danmark 168 for no loss in 15.2 overs (Johan Cilliers 116 n.o., DoreshDeve­nder 40 n.o).

Chahel, Ankith star for ISM

Batsman Chahel Balasubram­aniyan and all-rounder Ankith Rao helped Indian School Muscat (ISM) to an easy win over Sri Lankan School Muscat (SLSM) in a 30-over Under-16 League game at Muscat Municipali­ty Ground I in Al Amerat.

Batting first, SLSM were bowled out for 179 in the 29th over. Movindu Movith top-scored with 62 off 66 balls.

Ankith took three wickets while Azam Ali and Jayesh Anil bagged two each.

Chahel led the chase with a 60ball 70 while Ankith scored an unbeaten 41 off 37 balls as ISM achieved the target in the 25th overs, losing only two wickets.

Brief scores: SLSM 179 all out in 28.3 overs (Movindu Movith 60; Ankith Rao 3/23, Azam Ali 2/22, Jayesh Anil 2/26) lost to 180 for 2 in 24.3 overs (Chahel Balasubram­aniyan 70, Ankith Rao 41 n.o., Udantha Paliwadana 2/28).

Gyan, Saami lift MCCC A

In an Under-13 League match, MCCC A inflicted a heavy defeat on Bosher Olympic Center (BOC), thanks to sterling performanc­es by Gyan Ganesh Banja, Saami Kabir Khan and Arjunsures­h Dhiman at Muscat Municipali­ty Ground I on Friday.

Batting first, MCCC A piled up a huge 243 for one in 20 overs with each of their top three batsmen making a huge impression. Gyan remained unbeaten on 88 off 56 ball, Saami scored a stylish 69 off 45 while Arjunsures­h hit a swashbuckl­ing 62 off 27 balls.

Facing a daunting task, BOC folded up for just 67 in 14 overs. Saami and Adhithya Ramaswamy led the bowling honours, taking two wickets each.
