Gulf College goes the extra mile for PTE Academic Preparation Course

-

MUSCAT: The collaborative work of Masood Ahmad Khan, Gulf College Faculty of Foundation Studies Head; Abubucker Shamsudeen Shaffi, Faculty of Computing Sciences Head; Aisha Ghazi Haider, Pearson Examination Centre Manager; and Dr Irene Pineda Villareal, Centre for Languages and Cultural Studies Manager, has led to the delivery of the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) Preparation Course.

The PTE Academic is known as the world’s leading computerbased test of English for study abroad, visa application and immigration. It is accepted globally by prestigious institutions such as Harvard Business School, INSEAD and Yale University.

As the only higher education institution that has Pearson Examination Centre (PEC), Gulf College goes the extra mile to prepare its examinees for the hurdles of the exam proper.

Ahmed Heshmat, the Country Manager (Oman) of Aujan Marketing Co. has taken his PTE preparation course with Dr Ronald Cordova as his instructor. Some PTE candidates subject themselves to the PTE exam without any official preparation thus resulting in poor test results.

Other test takers have failed once, twice, and even thrice hence, GC-PTE Academic Preparation Course is deemed necessary as the clients benefit much from the orientation, techniques, mock exam and expert feedback covered in the four-hour course.

To date, examinees even come fresh from Qatar to take this most coveted examination made available at Gulf College. Among them are Deepak G. Mistry, Senior Project Engineer of Qatargas Operating Company Ltd. and Abdullah Shawky Sabek, Financial Controller of Silatech, who have been assisted by Gliton Anand Roy, PEC Administrator.
